Independent Living - Sunrise Senior Living

Independent Living

Maintaining a sense of independence is incredibly important for people throughout their life, but especially as they get older. If you have a friend or family member who doesn’t require care services, but who wants the experience of a community, independent living at Sunrise Senior Living could be an option.

Benefits of independent living include:

  • a private space that can be tailored to them and their tastes
  • hassle-free living with all the housekeeping and maintenance taken care of by staff
  • fully equipped kitchen if they feel like cooking and dining room if they prefer eating out
  • social activities and organised trips to stay active and engaged
  • support with any medical needs or doctor’s appointments

There is also the assurance that if their medical needs change in the future, qualified staff will be on hand to provide assisted living services, dementia care or nursing care.

Independent living is available at our Sunrise of Frognal House community. This pet-friendly, Jacobean mansion is set in seven acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in Sidcup, Kent. There are several golf courses, parks and gardens nearby with easy access to the M20, M25 and links to Central London.

Visiting our homes: latest information

Due to the latest national restrictions, we continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis, following public health advice. We’ve a detailed set of criteria to inform when an individual home can be reopened safely to limited visiting either by families or existing residents. The majority of our homes are open for new residents.

How we’re keeping our care homes safe

At Sunrise Senior Living UK, the health and happiness of our residents is of the utmost importance. It’s why over 90% of our care homes are rated as Good or Outstanding by the CQC. That’s why we’ve put in place a range of rigorous measures to help reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection within our homes, and to protect the physical and emotional wellbeing of our residents and the team around them.
