Sunrise of Winchester is a care home providing high quality, personalised nursing, dementia care, assisted living and end of life care in Winchester, Hampshire. Respite care is also available to recover after a hospital stay or if you simply need a break from your everyday routine.

With 55 years of Sunrise experience within our Heads of Departments and Senior Carers, we’re proud that we have been inspected and rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

Our Winchester care home offers luxury care, delivered by a team of highly skilled and caring professionals. We have a dedicated activities team to ensure residents enjoy a variety of events and outings that keep residents engaged and active.

We have introduced Motiview bikes that encourages residents to get moving. These indoor bikes are an easy-to-use, motivational technology, that our residents are already enjoying using. Through a combination of sensory impression and physical activity, the cycling equipment has the ability to transport its user to places they have been in their past, and bring memories back to life. Sunrise of Winchester is located a short drive from Winchester town centre, featuring a variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment, including the Theatre Royal and Winchester Cathedral.

We’re also close to the villages of Weeke and Harestock on the Stockbridge Road to the north of Winchester. Residents enjoy close proximity to Royal Winchester Golf Club, South Winchester Golf Club and easy access to road and rail links to London (via M3), the Midlands, the South and the New Forest.

Access to our homes: latest information

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis, following public health advice. We've a detailed set of criteria to inform when an individual home can be reopened safely to limited visiting either by families of existing residents or by potential new residents who may want to view one of our homes. The majority of our homes are open for admissions.

As part of our approach to reopening for visitors, we'll be operating in a very different way. To minimise the risk of infection we've produced a safety guide. We'll continue to follow public health advice to determine when visits will return to normal and will continue to do our best to support residents to keep in touch with loved ones.
