One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.
I have been a Registered Nurse for many years and have spent the last 20 managing the Care of Seniors. I joined Sunrise in January 2015 as Deputy Manager and am delighted to have re-joined Winchester as the General Manager.
Winchester is a beautiful community with a strong team of engaged team members who are committed to providing a high standard of individualised care to seniors. I feel truly privileged to be leading such great team and will strive to build upon the strong caring ethos which already exists at Sunrise of Winchester.
I have worked in care since 2003, starting as a registered manager for a domiciliary care agency, then the registered manager at a family owned dementia care home. Both roles gave me a solid care background and a passion for ensuring that the best care is delivered to our seniors. I have now worked at Sunrise of Winchester since 2012, starting as the Reminiscence Co-ordinator which I found very satisfying, and since September 2016 as the Deputy Manager. I thoroughly enjoy working with our residents, their families, and the entire care team to continually develop and improve on the excellent service we already provide.
I have been working in care since 2006 and joined Sunrise of Winchester in 2011. I became the Reminiscence Coordinator in 2016 which is a new and exciting experience for me, about which I feel really passionate. I am really proud to work at Sunrise and feel that I can make a difference in the everyday lives of the residents to make each day meaningful. The community is a wonderful place to work, and I get such joy from seeing our residents settle in and feel that they are at home. Working with a great team allows us to do the best for our residents and their families.
I have been an Activities Co-ordinator for many years. I feel privileged to perform this role in our community, to have time to spend time with our residents in groups but also one to one, listening to their life stories and generally enjoying special moments with them.
I truly believe I have the best job in the community. It is a fulfilling and rewarding role and I enjoy it immensely. I have a strong activities team that help deliver a wide variety of activities. Sunrise of Winchester is a very special community.
My name is Adam, I have worked for Sunrise for the past 9 years and have enjoyed this time. I have been given the exciting opportunity to become the Assisted Living coordinator here at Sunrise of Winchester and look for to the challenge. There is a great team feel at the community and I hope to welcome some new faces and show what quality care looks like to a wider audience. I have a wife and 2 young children and currently live in Ringwood.
I joined Sunrise of Winchester in July 2017 and I feel blessed to be part of this very special community. My main role is to offer support and advice to families who are considering bringing a loved one into our community and I take great pride in helping prospective residents learn about how we can make a positive change to their quality of life. It makes me smile to see the difference in our residents when they come to Sunrise of Winchester and there is no greater reward for me than making people happy
Championing the quality of life for all seniors - it’s the mission and responsibility of every Sunrise team member. To achieve that, we invest in our care team. New team members complete a comprehensive Sunrise training curriculum focused on the care and wellbeing of our residents.
