Westbourne Quote

"My mum was admitted to Sunrise for a period of recuperation, after a couple of bad falls left her unsteady on her feet, and weak, following hip surgery in hospital. She had also recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This was an unsettling time for the whole family as we wrangled with wanting Mum to retain her freedom while also wishing to wrap her in cotton wool... Sunrise have been amazing at every stage of this process, and we all feel incredibly lucky to have found the right safe spot for Mum that nurtures her individuality, and allows her to express herself, while sympathetically offering her the level of care that she needs. A massive thank you to all!"

Excellent in every way. All staff are helpful, kind, caring. Nothing is done in a hurry. Food is excellent and plenty if you require it. Rooms are left very clean. I have no regrets coming here and you soon become used to communal living.

My friends mum has been a resident here for 2-years. The way the home has dealt with the current situation, the care taken to keep the residents safe, and the regular contact with family and friends has been amazing.

Following the death of my wife and after researching the industry I became convinced that Sunrise was the obvious choice for me on a lifetime basis. The reasons for leaving my home were the loss of my wife, my deteriorating medical conditions, and the lack of social involvement and challenges in my life. I am pleased to say that Sunrise has satisfied my needs with the result that, at age 90 and with an active mind, I am able to undertake projects and enter the new field of art with a renewed feeling of satisfaction. In practical terms, I have an ideal, customized room, excellent meals, entertainment and welfare provided by staff and management who are motivated at the highest level.

My mum moved to Sunrise of Westbourne for a period of respite following a couple of damaging falls and a half-hip replacement. Following the respite period, Mum chose to stay permanently. I live overseas, and peace of mind about her well-being is incredibly important. I am so happy and relieved that Mum has found Sunrise and made it her home. The staff are wonderful: warm, welcoming, kind, caring, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and generous with their time. They've been really careful to make sure that she's been able to continue to enjoy the things she loves, which has been hugely beneficial for her mental health. Mum also has dementia, and the social environment has, I think, slowed her decline considerably compared with when she was living in her own home. I could recommend Sunrise enough.
