No one describes their experience at Sunrise of Virginia Water better than our very own residents and families. Read some of our favourite testimonials below.
When Dorothy Lacey joined us for a respite stay she was, as she says, feeling very "low". Staying at Sunrise was a breath of fresh air, which gave Dorothy the lift she needed to take life by the horns once again.

This family member - who prefers to remain anonymous - and her sister were left "feeling flat" by their experience of searching for suitable care homes for their aunt...until they found Sunrise. See their story by clicking here.
As with every resident at Sunrise, we see the whole person. Not only who they are now, but their life history and the experiences they have enjoyed. Hilda Flint's family wanted us to share this description of their mother's life. "We should like to thank the management, carers and staff at Sunrise for all the care and love they gave Hilda, our dear Mother, during the time she was there. Thank you." said her son, David.
Although we cannot visit during lockdown we phoned regularly and was always confident she was extremely well looked after, which took a lot of pressure of four minds. Thank you very much.

I am very glad I came here. I could not have been happier or better looked after anywhere else.

My mum has been on the Garden Floor (reminisce) for the past three years and always been treated with kindness and respect. I want to thank all the team who have nursed and cared for Mum over the past few weeks during her illness and also for the support they have given me. She has proved to be one very tough lady, but her recovery is also due to all the loving care she has received. My family appreciate all the hard work and devotion, and cannot thank you all enough.
The quality of service and care during lockdown was exceptional. All the staff are cheerful and helpful despite the extra duties they had to perform. They all deserve a medal.
I visit with my wife usually once or twice a week to visit friends who have been in Sunrise of a number of months. The reception by the staff is always welcoming and helpful. It is obvious to us that the home is well run and that the senior staff are hands-on and aware of what is happening in the home. The residents including our friends are happy and as far as we know have no complaints

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis, following public health advice. We've a detailed set of criteria to inform when an individual home can be reopened safely to limited visiting either by families of existing residents or by potential new residents who may want to view one of our homes. The majority of our homes are open for admissions.
As part of our approach to reopening for visitors, we'll be operating in a very different way. To minimise the risk of infection we've produced a safety guide.
We'll continue to follow public health advice to determine when visits will return to normal and will continue to do our best to support residents to keep in touch with loved ones.
