From the moment you enter Sunrise you cannot but notice the smiles and welcome every one of the staff offers you. The residents look friendly and happy too. The surroundings at present are so beautifully decorated by the staff and some of the residents too. Every day's activities are signalled for you with a programme, excellent for reminding you about the activities, time and place to meet. I enjoy several activities fo mind gym, book reading and Tai Chi.

How likely would you be to recommend Sunrise of Southbourne? Extremely Likely
I have been here at Sunrise of Southbourne for 18 months. My first and up to today impression of the friendly kind staff and members of management I have had dealings with have also been kind. My one complaint is of the shortage of staff, particularly at night. I understand this is being readdressed. The daily activities programme is excellent, something for everyone and no one is forced into doing anything.

As expected below my opinion of Sunrise Southbourne is excellent which is why we convinced 2 residents to come here. This is mainly due to the staff who are outstanding in the many ways they look after the well being of the residents.

I really enjoy the lovely bus trips, also the beautiful scenery on the journey. I enjoy the lovely mind gym, where I think we learn so much from our lovely teacher, besides the good fun and laughter.

The care is first-class here. Everyone is so friendly and my mum is very happy here, which is the main thing. Mum always looks well cared for.
As our residents are all particularly vulnerable to the COVID-19 infection, we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all visits from relatives and friends, unless in exceptional circumstances. We do not take this decision lightly; reducing visitors into our homes will help protect the health and safety of residents which is our priority. Visits from healthcare professionals and for matters relating to health and safety continue with appropriate precautions.
Our intention is to follow public health advice to determine when visits will return to normal. We will continue to do our best to support residents to keep in touch with loved ones via other methods, such as phone and video calls, letters or emails in the short term.
