One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.


Lisa Burrows, General Manager

Mobberley -Lisa Burrows Sunrise of Mobberley offers a superb tranquil retirement option for those with a love of the countryside. As general manager, a registered nurse myself with over 30 years' experience and previous matron, I set exceeding high standards of nursing care. I am passionate about the delivery of high quality care to seniors and proud to lead a team of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals here at Mobberley of Sunrise. As within health & social care sector, we strive each day to ensure that we create a culture of integrity and professionalism based on the Sunrise Mission and Core Values. My favourite part of the day is time spent with our residents, either in the Bistro joining them for a cup of tea, or in the activities lounge, hearing how we've made a positive impact on their life, and understanding how we can continue to grow and meet their diverse needs. Whenever I have spare time I enjoy rambling through the countryside with my family and our springer spaniel.

Lisa Moss, Deputy Manager

Mobberley - Lisa Moss

With extensive clinical experience gained within the prestigious University Hospital of North Staffordshire, I am passionate about resident care, well-being and independence. As a registered nurse, for over 13 years specialising in trauma and orthopaedic I am exceptionally proud to lead a team of excellent clinicians and care assistants to ensure that the Sunrise Principles of Service are delivered every day, and that exceptionally high standards of care are achieved. It was particularly refreshing when joining Sunrise that their main focus was to ensure that residents received high quality dignified care which, as a nurse I have always promoted. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading and appreciating fine wine.

Deborah Blackburn, Activities and Volunteers Co-ordinator

Mobberley - Deborah BlackburnDeborah joined Sunrise in May 2017 and brought passion, fun and a bright personality with her. She has been a Senior Lawyer at eminent law firms and then a private Psychotherapist, before adding to the bright lights at Sunrise of Mobberley. Deborah says her aim is to make a difference to each resident's day and enhance their abilities and interests. Nothing is more heart-warming than when she sees accomplishment and happiness resonate in a resident's happy, smiling face.

Laura Taleporos, Reminiscence Co-ordinator

Mobberley - Laura Taleporos

I feel truly privileged to work in a vocation so close to my heart. Having working in the care industry since leaving school at the age of 16 I am passionate about my job and from personal experience I understand the journey that our residents are taking. With three Autistic children I see many likenesses between seniors and children and hope I bring stills learnt from home to work. I aim to ensure my team and the environment meets our seniors specialist needs. I personally enjoy cooking, writing and painting and share my hobbies with our residents as I strongly believe we can bring joy and fun back into their lives, so our aim is to give them happy experiences and involve their family and friends where possible – retaining independence, preserving dignity and supporting individual needs.

Sharon Parkes, Director of Community Relations

Bramhall - Sharon Parkes As Director Of Community Relations the most important and rewarding part of my role is taking the families on the journey from their initial visit to Sunrise Of Bramhall to the moving in of their loved ones and ensuring it is a smooth, stress free process. It is a very enjoyable position that provides me with a great deal of job satisfaction.

Dawn Williams, Director of Community Relations

Mobberley - Dawn Williams I have worked for Sunrise Senior Living since 2013 and I still love my job today as much as the first day I join the company. As the first point of contact for anyone enquiring about Sunrise, I feel fortunate to be able to assist families and to deliver the bespoke service which Sunrise offers and which makes Sunrise such a special place. The most rewarding aspect is supporting families and seniors during what can be an emotional experience. I feel privileged to help in the journey towards the decision to join our community and then seeing new residents flourish and make new friendships, is the ultimate reward.
