Sunrise of Esher

Meet Our Team

One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.

Della Cogan, General Manager

Esher - Della CoganThe residents are like an extended family to me, and I enjoy getting to know each one individually, often by listening to their incredible life stories or sharing some of their memories. My door is always open to come and have a chat I like to encourage everyone, both residents and families, to talk to me about any concerns they may have and I'll always do my best to find a solution.  I think it's important to be open to new ideas, so we have regular get-togethers where we listen to comments and suggestions about anything from dining, the garden or the activities we provide and we act on as many as we can. It's all about being a community, so everyone can have their say. It's a great feeling to look forward to coming to work every day.

Emma Dudhee, Deputy Manager

I love my job and there is no greater job satisfaction that seeing our residents thriving and enjoying a good quality of life.

Nicky Hazell, Director of Community Relations

Esher - Nicky Hazell

My role is to provide as much information as possible to families looking for care for their loved ones. This gives them the opportunity to make an informed decision at sometimes a difficult time. I also welcome new residents into our beautiful community and support the families and the new resident through the move in process.Making a significant decision at a critical time is made easy when we have a lovely community, superb food, caring staff and a great activities programme. The one thing that makes my job even better is when a family member or a new resident say it was the best decision they have made and they wish they had made the move sooner.

Sophie Hagger, Activity and Volunteer Coordinator

Esher - Sophie HaggerI am a creative individual with an array of ideas to introduce to a new fun an enriching activities programme which is accessible for all of our residents at Esher. I am enjoying every moment in my role and getting to know all of our residents, listening to their life stories, their likes and dislikes and taking into account what they would like to see within the activities calendar and the Esher community. Together, myself and my team will provide an engaging and stimulating programme for the mind, body and soul for all our residents in Assisted Living and Reminiscence.
