Sunrise of Esher

Meet Our Team

One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.

Gabriela Smith, Acting General Manager

Esher - Gabriela SmithI’ve always enjoyed working with older people. I like being able to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive top quality care at all times.  I've been working in the care sector since 2005, and worked my way up through the ranks from Care Worker before first becoming Registered Manager in 2011. I've worked for a number of care companies including private, social services and not-for-profit care homes and managed two domiciliary agencies. I hold Level 5 in Health and Social Care, Level 3 in Dementia Leadership, Level 3 in Palliative Care, Level 2 in Mental Health, Level 2 in Nutrition and Health, Emergency Aid and others. I previously worked at Sunrise of Virginia Water for over 4 years before re-joining Sunrise of Esher in September 2018.

I am enjoying every moment in my role and getting to know all of our residents, listening to their life stories, their likes and dislikes and taking into account what they would like to see within the activities calendar and the Esher community. Together, myself and my team will provide an engaging and stimulating programme for the mind, body and soul for all our residents in Assisted Living and Reminiscence.

Esher - Joanna PerryI joined Sunrise Senior Living Esher in February 2019. It is a pleasure to build relationships with residents and their families and friends, it can be a very difficult and emotional time when someone no longer thrives living alone, to make the move to residential living not only for the individual but also their family and friends. Sometimes the smallest of gestures can go a long way.
