Sunrise of Bramhall

Meet Our Team

One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.

Ruth Baggs, General Manager

Bramhall - Ruth Baggs

I have worked in Health and Social Care for over 25 years, starting as a volunteer carer. I have a number of years of experience managing care services both in the residential and nursing sectors and also in the community.

In June 2018 I was appointed as General Manager at Sunrise of Bramhall. I am delighted to now be working with Sunrise Senior Living as it gives me the opportunity to lead a team delivering excellent care to some very special people, involving loved ones along the way. The core values and principles of service of Sunrise Senior Living support the team to ensure that the care we provide is resident centred, inclusive and empowering. At Sunrise of Bramhall we are committed to hard work and dedicated to serve the residents, providing dignified care and support to all.

Josie Turner, Reminiscence Co-ordinator

My name is Josie Turner, it was my pleasure to join the Sunrise team in April 2017, having gained over ten years' experience caring for residents at all stages of dementia and managing large teams of staff at previous care homes. I consider it fundamental to the well being of our residents that they should receive the best in care and respect to enable each one to fulfil an active and stimulating life and I have a firm belief in establishing and maintaining close and cordial relationships with their family and friends. I will always work hard to ensure the Reminiscence team at Sunrise continue their commitment to ensuring the contentment of those we look after. I am married with three children, a spaniel and I'm a vegetarian.

Bethan Wild, Activities and Volunteers Co-ordinator

Bethan

I have been with Sunrise at the community Bramhall since January 2011, having started as an Activities Assistant. In 2016 I felt it was time to step up in an exciting new role as the new Activities and Volunteer Co-ordinator, and enjoy every moment of my day here at Sunrise of Bramhall.  My aim is to fulfil each residents day by planning and delivering six activities each day mind, body and spirit with the Activities team for the residents to show off their various talents and knowledge or bringing new experiences to our community.

We also arrange special events, entertainment and trips out each week and I am passionate about supporting older people to live life to the full, whether it be hobbies and interests from the past or by bringing new experiences to them. It is so very rewarding to see our residents smiling and laughing each day.

John Harrison, Director of Community Relations

I am the first point of contact for seniors and families enquiring about their care options. I am proud to invite people to a tour of our community and make sure they leave with all the relevant information, having experienced Sunrise in action.

The most rewarding part of my role is supporting families and seniors and being able to guide and counsel them during what can be a very emotional journey.

I feel very privileged and honoured to be part of this experience and to help in the process of making the decision to join our community. Seeing new residents flourish and make new friends is the most rewarding element of my role.

Lina Baker, Director of Community Relations

Bramhall - Lina Baker As Director Of Community Relations the most important and rewarding part of my role is taking the families on the journey from their initial visit to Sunrise Of Bramhall to the moving in of their loved ones and ensuring it is a smooth, stress free process.
