One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Emma Franklin, General Manager

Beaconsfield - Emma FranklinI first started working in elderly care in 1995 and I have enjoyed working for Sunrise since January 2006 and joined the Beaconsfield Community in 2017. I have a passion for working within the care sector because of the genuine passion I have to care & for the wonder that is our elderly generation. I do believe that all of our residents deserve nothing but the best and as General Manager at Sunrise it is my responsibility to provide strong and focused leadership to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered. I have an extremely caring and enthusiastic management team who support me to promote good education, guidance and enthusiasm to all team members working within the community. It is my responsibility to ensure that the community remains compliant, effective, treats our residents with respect and dignity and most of all makes Sunrise.

Tomek Szkutnik, Deputy Manager

Tomek SzkutnikI joined Sunrise of Beaconsfield in 2017 but have been directly involved in care work since 2003. My path through the care industry has led me on the journey that has enabled me to work in award winning homes. I love bringing people together, sharing light-hearted 'banter' and ensuring every team I work with, are highly motivated in order to provide the best possible care. Working in care can be demanding yet very rewarding at the same time. Supporting and developing the right people, makes it all the more enjoyable. I am thrilled and excited to be part of the team at Sunrise and I look forward to long lasting career.

Karen McLean, Assisted Living Co-ordinator

Karen McLeanI have been working for Sunrise since 2011, when I started a carer on the night shift and have progressed through different job roles in the community. Sunrise have given me the support and training to achieve this. Our residents have such great characters and no two days are the same. I am backed by a fantastic team who deliver great all round care for all our residents incorporating mind, body and soul.

Wendy Healy, Director of Community Relations

Wendy HealyI joined the Family Team at Sunrise of Beaconsfield in July 2018. As the initial contact for families interested in residential care, I am lucky enough to meet the most interesting and wonderful people every day, whilst showing them around our beautiful Beaconsfield community. For some it's a new experience and can understandably be quite daunting, however the warm and friendly welcome that awaits from every member of our team, soon puts people at their ease. Every tour of our community is unique; tailored to what is important to you and your family. Introducing people to what life at Sunrise could be like and helping them to settle in once they have made that decision is truly rewarding. Being part of such a great team and surrounded by so many amazing residents who have so much to give is what makes it fun!

Paula Hopkinson, Hotel Services Manager

Paula HopkinsI started working for Sunrise in 2009 as the Dining Services Co-ordinator. As each resident’s nutritional needs are unique, we work together to provide exactly what every individual requires and tailor as much as we can, to what they specifically want. We focus on fresh ingredients, variety and choice as our main priorities. I became Hotel Services Manager in June 2019, then taking leadership of the kitchen, dining, housekeeping, maintenance and concierge. I am extremely proud of how my teams individually take pride in everything they do for the residents, from making sure they have the outfit pressed for an important family gathering to putting a picture hook up for them. We ensure even the little things that mean so much to each resident are catered for.

Vanessa Holt, Business Operations Co-ordinator

VanessaI joined Sunrise Senior Living in September 2019. Having spent most of my professional career in Administration and Operations, Sunrise has given me an opportunity to utilise my skills and experience by working within the Beaconsfield Community. I am highly motivated and like to provide a high level of service. My work within the community is to support Residents, Families and Care Teams to ensure the Principles of our Service is delivered at all times.
