Sunrise of Banstead
Meet our team
One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible.
Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.
Suzanne Garston - General & Registered Manager
Every day I walk into my community feeling incredibly proud of the team who work extremely hard to deliver the best care services to my residents. I feel very blessed to work in such a warm and welcoming environment. The word ‘community’ is the most apt description of Sunrise of Banstead.
Magda Kaleta - Deputy Manager
I have been working as a Senior Wellbeing Assistant at Sunrise of Banstead for the past 10 years and I have recently been promoted internally to the role of Deputy Manager. I am delighted to be able to use my clinical experience to continue working with the team to ensure that the health and safety of all residents is effectively assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated. I feel privileged to work in such a wonderful community. The dedication and care this team demonstrates every single day, to every single resident, guarantees a warm and loving atmosphere for us all, residents and staff alike. This is not just a job, it's a rewarding way of life.
Conor Leahy - Director of Community Relations
I joined the Sunrise team back in October 2018. I have loved every moment of it ever since. I remember walking through the doors on my very first day and having this amazing feeling as I walked in, I still feel that coming to work today. The best part about my job is making the often stressful and overwhelming process of looking for care easy and stress free for our new families. Seeing our new residents settle into the community and make friends is incredibly rewarding.
Barbara Mare - Assisted Living Co-ordinator
I was really pleased with our excellent CQC report, especially as it was full of excellent comments from residents and their families.
Christina Webb-Smith, Reminiscence Co-ordinator
I joined Sunrise of Banstead in 2013 as a care assistant, in 2019 I was promoted to my current role of Reminiscence Co-ordinator. I am so proud to be part of an amazing team here in our dementia neighbourhood who are all so passionate about delivering person-centred care every day to our residents. We ensure every day our residents have purpose and are involved in meaningful activities catered for residents living with dementia. I enjoy working in such a lovely community it is so rewarding seeing the smiles on the faces of our residents every day!
Tamara Juckes, Activities Co-ordinator
There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. Seeing the expression on residents’ faces and hearing the enjoyment in their voices as they take part in our daily activities makes me feel immensely proud and content. I wouldn’t swap it for anything!
Alison Nicholson, Head Housekeeper
I Joined Sunrise in 2008 as a housekeeper and worked my way up to the head of housekeeping. I take pride in what myself and my team do to keep Banstead looking clean and tidy for our residents.
