Team Members from Lloyds Banking Group Spend Day Volunteering at Sunrise of Solihull Care Home
10 representatives from Lloyds Banking Group visited Sunrise of Solihull on Wednesday 18th September for a day of volunteering.
The team came in specially designed volunteer t-shirts so that they could be easily identified. They spent quality time with residents, especially those who don’t have nearby relatives or frequent visitors and helped out with some of the activities.
The individuals got stuck into a spot of gardening, motivated residents during a cycling challenge, took them out for a “walk and talk” session and helped with jigsaw puzzles and quizzes.
Wendy Dunn from Lloyds Banking Group, said:
“We loved every minute. We had so much fun and learnt a lot spending time with the residents. We will definitely be back in the future to do this again!”
Jo Hopkins, Director of Community Relations at Sunrise of Solihull, said:
“It was just fantastic having the team over from Lloyds Banking Group. Such a lovely bunch. It is always heart-warming to welcome new volunteers to our community – residents absolutely love mingling with people. Thank you, Lloyds Banking Group, for organising the volunteering day. It was a pleasure meeting you all.”
