Sunrise of Frognal’s Dog, Milo, Takes Part in Paws 4 Pilgrims
Sunrise of Frognal, on Frognal Avenue, recently celebrated taking part in Paws 4 Pilgrims, a 5k dog walk in aid of local hospice care.
Hundreds of dog walkers, friends, family and neighbours got together to embark on the 5k walk along the beautiful Deal coastline towards Walmer, before heading back again. Sunrise’s community pet Milo represented the care community, walking all the way with no carries and just a few treats.
The walk was followed by a fun dog show with refreshments and stalls for guests to enjoy and classes including ‘fastest sausage catcher’ and ‘dog most like its owner.’
All entry fees from the day have gone directly to Pilgrims Hospices, a charity supporting individuals and families when and where they are in need of clinical and palliative care. Sunrise of Frognal, which provides high quality, personalised dementia care, assisted living and independent living, was delighted to support Pilgrims and raised £50 in sponsorship.
Rebecca Pearce, Director of Community Relations at Sunrise of Frognal, said:
“The whole team at Sunrise of Frognal was delighted to get involved with such a worthwhile cause and raise money for Pilgrims Hospices, who are doing such wonderful work to support people facing illness to live well. We are all very proud of Milo.”
