What’s On at Sunrise of Bassett Care Home in January

Sunrise of Bassett care home, which provides high quality, personalised dementia care and assisted living, will be hosting plenty of exciting events for both residents and the wider community in January. All are welcome to attend.

The first event of the month will be ‘One Night with Elvis’, which will take place on Wednesday 8th January from 4-5pm. Everyone is invited to celebrate the birth of Elvis Presley, and the evening will feature impersonator Andy Kennett, alongside a quiz and light refreshments.

The following day, on Thursday 9th January, Sunrise of Bassett will host a Coffee Morning, where residents and guests can unwind for a relaxing social hour, from 10:30-11:30am. Guests will enjoy good company, a warm beverage and homemade biscuits and can also take a tour of the luxury facilities. These include a hair and beauty salon, 24/7 bistro, picturesque gardens, and ensuite rooms that can be personalised by residents.

Later in the month, the home will be hosting a Tribute to Burns Night on Thursday 21st January from 3pm. This event will commemorate the life and works of the the poet Robert Burns and in the afternoon there will be a special celebration of the National Bard that will include Scottish Dancers, alongside complimentary festive bites.

Finally, on Sunday 25th January from 3.30 pm, Sunrise of Bassett will welcome owls from CRS Falconry, to mark RSPN Birdwatch week. Residents and guests will get the opportunity to take part in Bird-Bingo and enjoy light refreshments.

Sunrise of Bassett are hosting these exciting events alongside their regular weekly activities such as the Memory Café, which is held every Wednesday afternoon from 2-3:15pm and is open to all who may have concerns about their memory or the memory of a loved one.
