In 2015, the Government commissioned a study by SACN which said we should consume 30 grams of fibre per day. Despite this call, we often do not give fibre the attention it warrants when thinking about gut health, energy levels, and helping in the prevention and dietary approach to diabetes type 2. It is therefore of great importance that we enhance awareness of the role of fibre in our diet, and how it contributes to greater physical well-being.
