Many people experience impaired vision as they age. In fact, the Royal National Institute of Blind People says that 1 in 5 people aged 75 or older in the UK are living with sight loss. Age-related macular degeneration is the most common form of vision impairment that affects half of the 370,000 people registered as partially sighted or blind, according to the NHS. However, British doctors have recently announced good news for those experiencing AMD, reporting that they may have found a cure for the disease.
