Sunday 5th - Saturday 11th July. Dementia Awareness Open Week.
The UK's aging population is resulting in increasing cases of dementia. More and more adults are finding themselves in some way affected by its challenges. We want to make this a special week by sharing our experiences with others and to raise money for other organisations committed to helping seniors with memory loss. To follow are some of the events we are holding to raise awareness and much needed funds. Right the way through the week, we will be opening up our specialised Reminiscence Neighbourhood for visits by appointment. Call to reserve your visit.

Tuesday July 7th, 2:30pm-4;30pm. Alzheimer's Tea Party. We are supporting the Alzheimer's Society who have asked people across the country to 'to brew up a storm' and raise vital funds for them. With this in mind we are inviting you to come along and enjoy our special cream tea, and listen to some light music. Admission just £3.00. All proceeds to do to the Alzheimer's Society.

Thursday July 9th. A Walk in our Resident's Shoes.

2:00pm-4:00pm - For Professionals with an interest in Dementia care.

Sunrise of Tettenhall Now Offering Nursing Care

What does it mean for our residents?
Sunrise of Tettenhall will remain the same comfortable, homelike and enjoyable place to live. But now we are extending our care services so that additional nursing will be available 24 hours a day. It means that residents and families have the reassurance of knowing that if nursing care is required later, Sunrise can provide it.

The new registration is also an acknowledgment of our competency and expertise in caring. We have been participating in rigorous training to ensure that all residents receive the best assistance and care possible. But the really good news…As a result of our new registration it means that residents assessed to receive nursing care will be eligible for NHS Funded Nursing Care contributions. This is an amount of £106.30 per week paid as a contribution towards your weekly fees.
