Thursday 4th March, 10:30am-12:15pm. Long Term Care Fees Planning Event. You are invited to our financial advice seminar, a wonderful opportunity to discuss long term care planning. The schedule of events will be:
10.00am: Tea/coffee
10.30am: St James’s Place Wealth Management – providing financial advice for all stages of life including going into long term residential care.
11.30am: Protecting your capital while ensuring your financial commitments in respect of long term care can always be met.
12.15pm: Light refreshments.

Thanks to mum!’ Open House Event. Open-house and complimentary day of pampering and fun. We have a number of special surprises, pampering treats and fun for
mums for this special Open House Event planned for the Saturday before
Mother’s Day. Mums will be treated to much deserved pampering with hand massages, nail care and flower posies. There will be tours, refreshments and entertainment with key staff on hand to answer questions.
So if you are a mum or you have a mum that would
like to feel a little more special for a while, call or email us to

Monday 15th March, 3:00pm-4:00pm. Tea Dance. Come and join the fun and enjoyment with our residents at our monthly Tea Dance (3rd Monday every month).
Wednesday 17th March, 2:00-4:00pm. St Patrick’s Day Celebrations. Come along and join in the fun with our Irish fiddler providing the entertainment and celebrate all thing Irish.
Wednesday 24th March, 2:30-3:30pm. Exploring and Understanding Dementia. For carers and family members of a loved one suffering from Dementia, Alzheimer’s and memory loss it can be a lonely and stressful time. James Wilson, Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing, will be giving a talk offering expert advice and explaining the options available when home care is no longer the best option. Please RSVP by Friday 19th March.
Every Tuesday, 3-4pm. Afternoon Tea and Quiz. Come and join us for a chat and afternoon tea or coffee, whilst 'soaking up' the relaxed atmosphere here at lovely warm and home-like residence.

Care Quality Commission Rates Sunrise of Southbourne
Our home is rated ‘Good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC
is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. The
Good rating means the people who use this service experience good
quality outcomes.
The CQC considered that "the home is a well-appointed, suitably equipped and comfortable environment for elderly people, including those with dementia.
