Sunrise of Sonning Now Offers Nursing Care

Sunrise of Sonning, committed to providing professional and personalised care in a dignified environment, is also able to provide 'round-the-clock' nursing care, promoting both residents' emotional health and physical well-being.

Whilst our residence will be a comfortable, homelike and enjoyable place for seniors to live, the residence will also provide 24 hours-a-day supportive nursing and rehabilitation. Residents and families now have the reassurance of knowing that if nursing care is required at any point, Sunrise's trained and dedicated nursing staff can provide it, seamlessly. This registration is an acknowledgment of our competency and expertise in caring, ensuring all residents can receive the best level of care, when ever needed.

Shorter Term Spring Stays Now Available

Sunrise of Sonning can now offer short term stays on a first come...first serve basis over the coming Spring months.

Our short-term stays are perfect for family members going on their summer holiday or business trip, requiring a short break from caring for the senior in their life, or for seniors themselves to find out if a Sunrise community suits them. Short-term stays are also an option for seniors needing extra assistance after a hospital visit or during an illness.

Prestigious Gold Award for Sunrise of Sonning

At a glittering awards ceremony held in London in November 2009, Sunrise Senior Living of Sonning picked up the 'Best Retirement Living' accolade from What House Awards, in recognition for their outstanding purpose-built development. Chosen from a field of highly regarded retirement communities throughout the country, Sunrise of Sonning was considered to be a future "model for care homes, both private and state run, throughout the UK."

Thought to posses a high level of care with a good staff to residents ratio, the judging panel, comprising of some of the country’s leading architects, journalists and housing consultancies, noted that this Sunrise development possessed a “consistent and soothing design”.

The judges also noted that the “ground floor entrance is dominated by a grand staircase with a piano tucked to one side, giving the impression of a good hotel”.

Both the dementia floor (Reminiscence) came in for praise for using smart design and layout to cater for residents with dementia, whilst the gardens were thought to be “landscaped in a generous way with proper mature plants”, with “covered areas where residents can sit”.
