Upcoming Summer Events at Sunrise

Friday 30th July, 9.45am. Tai Chi Classes. It is important for seniors to remain active and healthy. As part of this we offer a regular Tai Chi class. Please come along and experience the benefits of this ancient skill.

Thursday 5th August, 12 noon. Gentlemen’s Lunch Club. Our Gents Lunch Club will be enjoying the first of their monthly lunch events. We are happy to extend a warm welcome to any gentleman who might wish to join us. Please call in advance to book a place.

Monday 9th August, 2pm. One-Stroke. Art Join our art club for this unique approach to art. Learn how to create beautiful flowers with the flick of a brush, resulting in quick, easy and beautiful flowers. Call to find out more.

Tuesday 10th August, 6pm. Dementia Support Group.The families of some of Sunrise’s dementia care residents are getting together to share their experiences of living with a loved one who has dementia. This rewarding evening is being offered to help those who are having to look at making changes in how they care for a family member. We can only offer a limited number of invites, please call in advance to reserve your place.

Friday 13th August, 9.45am. Tai Chi. Our resident enjoy armchair aerobics every morning at 9.45 am, but on every Fridays we have Charles come to conduct a Tai Chi class. This is a great exercise technique that helps with all aspects of physical well being. Come along and find out more about it on Friday 13th or come along for armchair aerobics any day.

Thursday 26th August 4pm. Clearer Productions. We are happy to welcome this musical theatre group back to Sunrise. Clearer Productions are bringing their unique brand of song and dance to entertain us all at afternoon tea.
