Upcoming Summer Events - Book Today

Saturday 24th July, 12-2pm. Summer Picnic. Bathe in the beauty of our glorious gardens.This is an opportunity to see Frognal House at its best and to have a taster of what we have to offer.  Enjoy our picnic lunch with the opportunity to talk to members of staff and find out more. RSVP.

Friday 30th July 7.30pm.
Piano Recital. An evening of enjoyment around the grand piano with Ian Costello.

Thursday 5th August, 3.00pm. Exercise with Elvis. An afternoon of legs kicking, arms swinging and those hips swaying as Elvis entertains us with his repertoire.

Friday 6th August, 2.45pm. Music Club. An opportunity to relax and enjoy fantastic music with Roy. Roy takes us through the afternoon with a talk and narrative and of course the all important music.

Sunday 8th August, 3.00pm. Sing Along. A favourite with all our residents, James returns to sing our favourite songs and get our feet tapping and our hands clapping.

Monday 9th August, 3.00pm. Antiques Valuation – Sunrise Style. Michael Laiken joins us in the gardens of frognal providing us with information about antiques. Why not come along with that artefact you want to know more about?

Monday I6th August, 3.00pm. Adrian Chapman Entertains. Cowboy hats and tambourines are the theme of the day when Adrian returns to entertain us in Chestnut House.

Weekly Summer Events.

Every Tuesday afternoon, 2.30pm. Basketball Tournament. Our weekly basketball on a Tuesday afternoon is a hotly contested competition. With a break at half time for a cup of tea and a piece of cake to re-energise, this is an afternoon of high excitement with a weekly champion.

Every Thursday morning, 10:00am. Gardening. Green fingers and glorious gardens at our weekly gardening club in the beautiful surroundings of Frognal House.

Every Friday, 1.30pm. Manicures and Massage. An afternoon of pampering on a Friday with both manicures and hand massages. Enjoy the relaxation of a professional hand massage with Mandy to ease those aches and pains.

Understanding Dementia

Does a friend or loved one have dementia? Are you concerned that someone you know seems to be losing mental capacity? Our Reminiscence Neighbourhood specialises in the care of residents with dementia in a warm and homely environment. Heather Champion, our Reminiscence co-ordinator, gives presentations on aspects of various forms of dementia and an overview of how Sunrise provides high quality care for these residents. Care Quality Commission Rates Sunrise at Frognal House

Our home is rated ‘Good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. The Good rating means the people who use this service experience good quality outcomes.

The CQC considered "the home was clean, tidy and warm. There were lots of interesting items for people with dementia to explore and touch. People could bring their own furniture and possessions into the home and arrange their room to suit their needs."
