• Tuesday 30th June, 11:00am-12:30pm. Falls Prevention Talk. This months Health Talk is help and advice to prevent falls and will be presented by visiting physiotherapist Salu Fellows MBA, BA, MCSP, HPC. She will be giving advice and guidance on the following subjects: Muscle weakness, loss of balance, poor posture and loss of confidence.July Itinerary
• Sunday 5th-Saturday 11th July. Alzheimer’s Awareness Open Week. Come along and visit our specialised Reminiscence Neighbourhood. 
• Wednesday July 8th, 10.30am -12.00. Coffee Morning for Carers. Are you looking after someone at home suffering from Dementia? Come along to our coffee morning and enjoy a coffee and a chat with entertainment from Peter Tonks on the piano.
• Thursday July 9th, 2.30pm to 4.00pm. Alzheimer’s Society Tea Day Event. Come and join the fun with specialty teas, entertainment and quizzes and help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society at our Annual Tea Day. 
• Friday 10th July, 10.00am-12.00 midday. Reminiscence Open Morning. Walk down memory lane with us as we enjoy the 40’s with activities and games and the wonderful music of that era.
• Tuesday 14th July. IFA/Solicitors Seminar. • Tuesday July 28th, 11:00am-12:30pm. Health Talk. The Osteoporosis Society are giving a very informative talk in our activities room. Coffee served at 11:00am.

Sunrise of Edgbaston Now Offering Nursing Care

What does this mean for our residents?
Sunrise of Edgbaston will remain the same comfortable, homelike and enjoyable place to live. But now we are extending our care services so that additional nursing will be available 24 hours a day. It means that residents and families have the reassurance of knowing that if nursing care is required later, Sunrise can provide it.

The new registration is also an acknowledgment of our competency and expertise in caring. We have been participating in rigorous training to ensure that all residents receive the best assistance and care possible. But the really good news…As a result of our new registration it means that residents assessed to receive nursing care will be eligible for NHS Funded Nursing Care contributions. This is an amount of £106.30 per week paid as a contribution towards your weekly fees.
