Sunrise of Edgbaston Now Offering Nursing Care
What does this mean for our residents?
Sunrise of Edgbaston will remain the same comfortable, homelike and enjoyable place to live, but now we are extending our care services so that additional nursing will be available 24 hours a day. It means that residents and families have the reassurance of knowing that if nursing care is required later, Sunrise can provide it.
The new registration is also an acknowledgment of our competency and expertise in caring. We have been participating in rigorous training to ensure that all residents receive the best assistance and care possible. But the really good news…As a result of our new registration it means that residents assessed to receive nursing care will be eligible for NHS Funded Nursing Care contributions. This is an amount of £106 per week paid as a contribution towards your weekly fees.
Talk to us soon about the process to get an assessment made and we'll help to make it happen.

Sunrise Dementia Care Praised In Birmingham Mail
To follow is a letter published in the Birmingham Mail from a grateful daughter of a senior being cared for in Sunrise's Reminiscence Neighbourhood, offering specialist dementia care.
"To Sunrise Senior living in Edgbaston. On her first wonderful year with you, Ms. Eyden and all her family would like to thank all the staff in 'Reminiscence' - Melissa, Carol, Maureen, Jane, Bernadette, Cesar, Amelia, Nicola, Diane and Manager Gwen. Also I would like to thank Carol and Richard for all the hard work you have done for our Mother to come to Sunrise.
Our Mother has suffered with Alzheimers for the past 8 years but since being with you at Sunrise she is looking so well. The care she has received is excellent, the staff are so kind, nice and helpful, and you have been a miracle for our Mother. Also thank you to David and Kath for the lovely work they do to Mom's hair. We thank you again, and for any staff we have missed out at Sunrise you are the best xxxx"
