Carers and their loved ones living with dementia are invited to join singer Ian Thomas for an afternoon of music, singing and fun held in our Reminiscence Neighbourhood. Donations of £1 per person recommended, all proceeds to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Sunrise Wins ‘Best Assisted Living Development’ Award

Sunrise of Cardiff attained the Gold Award for the ‘Best Assisted Living Development’ in The Daily Telegraph, Your New Home Awards in 2008.

At an awards ceremony held at the Globe Theatre in London, with over 200 people in attendance, Sunrise Senior Living managed to impress the Judging panel over a number of other notable care providers and attained the Gold Award.

The judges stated when presenting the award: "The main factor in this category was to find a development where the residents received extra care without limiting their sense of independence. Every Sunrise has a separate secure area devoted to the special needs of seniors who are experiencing memory loss through Alzheimer's disease or other conditions. While many projects provide comfort and security, the judges felt that Sunrise of Cardiff, with its emphasis on helping residents in need of additional support was the obvious winner." Sunrise Presented With Welsh Food Hygiene Award

Sunrise Senior Living of Cardiff is delighted to have been awarded the Welsh Food Hygiene Award 'Silver Standard'. In order to achieve this accreditation our premises was deemed to have an excellent standard of cleanliness and have a good food safety management system in place. In addition, one or more members of staff must have intermediate food hygiene training.

Our dedicated catering team, on hand to provide delicious restaurant style dining, have now been recognised for their high standard of food preparation and hygiene.
