Saturday 11th July, 2009, 2:00pm-4:30pm. Summer Fete Charity Event.
You are invited to join us at our first annual summer fete in aid of
our nominated charities...the Stockport Alzheimer’s Society, the Stroke
Association & Wish Upon a Star. The fete will be held at our
beautiful residence and throughout the day a range of entertainments
and activities will be available including music, a grand raffle,
numerous stalls, games, tombolas, face painting as well as
refreshments, food and fun for all. Admission is free and parking will
be available at St Michael’s Church Car Park on St Michael’s Avenue.

Saturday 25th-Friday 31st July, 10:00am-4:00pm. Summer Open House Week. This is your chance to experience the new high quality senior care alternative in a relaxed and informal way. Take in our unique atmosphere, experience our large reception areas, enjoy coffee and cakes in our bistro, ask us about our varied programme of entertainment and activities and walk through our landscaped gardens. Dementia Care Week. Join Us
Sunday 5th - Saturday 11th July 2009.
The UK's aging population is resulting in increasing cases of dementia.
More and more adults are finding themselves in some way affected by its
challenges. We want to make this a special week by sharing our
experiences with others and to raise money for other organisations
committed to helping seniors with memory loss. To follow are some of
the events we are holding to raise awareness and much needed funds.
Monday 6th July, 6:30pm-8:00pm. Dementia As A Journey Seminar.
A
fascinating talk that helps understand the onset of memory loss in
older age, and gives an insight into how to provide care, support and
comfort for those that are experiencing memory loss.
Monday 6th - Friday 10th July, 3:00pm. Afternoon Tea. We will
all be having fun and enjoying tea (or coffee if you prefer). All
donations for this excellent refreshment will go to the Alzheimer’s
Society.
Wednesday 8th July, 5:00pm-6:30pm. Open Event For Professionals. If
you have a professional interest in senior care and/or dementia care
then join us at this open event. There will be tours of our facilities,
refreshments and the opportunity to ask questions of our specialist
care team.

Sunrise of Bramhall is now able to offer Nursing Care!
What does it mean for our residents?
Sunrise
of Bramhall will remain the same comfortable, homelike and enjoyable
place to live. But now we are extending our care services so that
additional nursing will be available 24 hours a day. It means that
residents and families have the reassurance of knowing that if nursing
care is required later, Sunrise can provide it.
The new
registration is also an acknowledgement of our competency and expertise
in caring. We have been participating in rigorous training to ensure
that all residents receive the best assistance and care possible. But
the really good news…As a result of our new registration it means that
residents assessed to receive nursing care will be eligible for NHS
Funded Nursing Care contributions. This is an amount of £106.30 per
week paid as a contribution towards your weekly fees.
