Both our Assisted Living and Dementia (Reminiscence) neighbourhoods have been awarded a 2 Star 'Good' service rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. This rating is the highest possible a new home can achieve in its first inspection. The
Good rating means the people who use this service experience "good quality outcomes".
In their report, the CQC stated, amongst many positive comments, that “there was good regard for people’s privacy and dignity” and that the food provided was considered “well prepared and presented attractively to make sure that nutritional needs are met and respecting people’s preferences and religious or cultural requirements.” To find out more on Sunrise of Beaconsfield's CQC rating, contact us today on 01494 739 600.

Sunrise of Beaconsfield Funds Road Crossing
Seniors in Beaconsfield are once again taking to the streets after Sunrise of Beaconsfield paid for an island to help them cross a busy road close by. The elderly and infirm had all but given up going out after a junction close to the new Sunrise residence had became dangerously busy to cross. The situation was looking hopeless after Buckinghamshire County Council said it had no money for a crossing on Grove Road, until Sunrise stepped in, offering to put up the £15,000 needed to pay for a new island and lighted bollard.
Now that the crossing is complete seniors are able to venture out once more, according to Daphne Leicester, 80, who is blind. She said: "It's marvellous and the residents have got their scooters out again. It was so dangerous before. I nearly got knocked down a couple of times and the scooters couldn't get up onto the pavement because of all the cars." Jeremy Baker, Sunrise's regional development manager, said: "It was bad enough crossing that road being young and sprightly. We were delighted to help."

Sunrise Residents Raise Money for Parkinson's Charity
Sunrise Senior Living of Beaconsfield held a charity musical event on Thursday 25th February to raise money for the Amersham & High Wycombe branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society. With invitations to both the local community and members of the Parkinson's Society, about 40 people joined the community's residents to be entertained by Musical Rendevous.
Paul Quirk, General Manager of Sunrise of Beaconsfield said, 'We have very strong links with the local Parkinson's Society and the area's Parkinson's nurse, Liz Scott, who has been very supportive of Sunrise. With residents in our community with Parkinson's, we felt we would very much like to do something in return for such a worthwhile charity'.
The Sunrise team organised fundraising activities and guests were treated to afternoon tea, music and a tour of the community.
Chairman of the Amersham & High Wycombe Parkinson's Society, David Besley, was thrilled with both the support the event received and also the money raised for the local branch. He was pleased to accept donations of over £300.
