Dementia Care Week: Come and Join Us & Increase Your Awareness
Sunday 5th - Saturday 11th July 2009.
The
UK's aging population is
resulting in increasing cases of dementia. More and more adults are
finding themselves in some way affected by its challenges. We want to
make this a special week by sharing our experiences with others and to
raise money for other organisations committed to helping seniors with
memory loss. To follow are some of the events we are holding to raise
awareness and much needed funds.
Wednesday 8th July, 10:00am. Tea Dance. Come and join us for a taste of yesteryear: there will be the sophistication of live music, the opportunity to have a civilised dance and socialise. All proceeds raised go to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Wednesday 8th July, 2:00pm. Dealing With Memory Loss. For more than 25 years, Sunrise has tended to the care needs of seniors with memory loss. This has taught us valuable lessons, many of which we would like to share with you at this informative talk.
