Support that suits you

Choose the type of support group that suits you and your lifestyle, whether that’s in the community or online. If your caregiving responsibilities allow, we’d recommend joining a face-to-face community support group. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people in your area and access local resources. If not, an online group could still offer you the support you’re looking for.

Remember, not every support group will be right for you. Ask friends, relatives or your nearest Sunrise for recommendations. Other features to look for: groups that have been around for a while and are led or moderated by someone with experience as a caregiver or facilitator.
