Meet Your Team

One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.

Antoinette Roberts, Deputy Manager

AntoinetteI have worked in care since 2003, starting as a registered manager for a domiciliary care agency, then the registered manager at a family owned dementia care home. Both roles gave me a solid care background and a passion for ensuring that the best care is delivered to our seniors. I have now worked at Sunrise of Winchester since 2012, starting as the Reminiscence Co-ordinator which I found very satisfying, and since September 2016 as the Deputy Manager. I thoroughly enjoy working with our residents, their families, and the entire care team to continually develop and improve on the excellent service we already provide.

Ewa Sojka, Assisted Living Co-ordinator

Ewa I joined the Sunrise family in 2011. I am truly passionate about my role and believe in what we do in Assisted Living. My team are dedicated to our residents and their care is paramount. Every day I feel incredibly proud of the team who work extremely hard to deliver the best people-centred care services to a very high standard for all of our residents. I find the role to be very rewarding and cannot imagine doing anything else.

Emma Cole, Reminiscence Co-ordinator

Emma I have been working in care since 2006 and joined Sunrise of Winchester in 2011. I became the Reminiscence Coordinator in 2016 which is a new and exciting experience for me, about which I feel really passionate. I am really proud to work at Sunrise and feel that I can make a difference in the everyday lives of the residents to make each day meaningful. The community is a wonderful place to work, and I get such joy from seeing our residents settle in and feel that they are at home. Working with a great team allows us to do the best for our residents and their families.

Louise Murkin, Activities and Volunteers Co-ordinator

Louise I have been an Activities Co-ordinator for many years. I feel privileged to perform this role in our community, to have time to spend time with our residents in groups but also one to one, listening to their life stories and generally enjoying special moments with them.

I truly believe I have the best job in the community. It is a fulfilling and rewarding role and I enjoy it immensely. I have a strong activities team that help deliver a wide variety of activities. Sunrise of Winchester is a very special community.

Ben Hadwick, Dining Services Co-ordinator

Ben I am responsible for the production and serving of all of the meals at Sunrise of Winchester. Meal times are important social occasions, and I strive to maximise our residents' enjoyment by ensuring that the food and service is of high quality (and compliant with dietary requirements). I originally trained as a patisserie chef, but have spent much of my career in care homes. I joined Sunrise of Winchester in December 2016 after being the head chef at a home of a similar size.

Emily Wyllie, Director of Community Relations

Emily

I have been working for Sunrise since May 2017, previously working for Gracewell and have honestly enjoyed every single day. My main role is to help and support families who have chosen to bring a loved one into our community.

The best part about my role is that I can help make a difference to people’s lives and look forward to working with the principles of Sunrise.
