Meet Our Team

One of the reasons why every Sunrise home is much more than just a care home is the team of people working there. Every hour of every day, Sunrise team members are working to make sure that our residents enjoy life as fully as possible. Here are just a few of the people you’ll find at your local Sunrise care home.

Lisa Burrows, General Manager

Lisa

I am passionate about the delivery of high quality care to seniors and proud to lead a team of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals here at Mobberley, in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. As a registered nurse myself with over 30 years’ experience within health & social care, we strive each day to ensure that we create a culture of integrity and professionalism based on the Sunrise mission and values. My favourite part of the day is time spent with our residents, either in the Bistro joining them for a cup of tea, or in the activities lounge, hearing how we’ve made a positive impact on their life, and understanding how we can continue to grow and meet their diverse needs. Whenever I have spare time I enjoy rambling through the countryside with my family and our springer spaniel.

Amanda Ben Hmida, Deputy Manager

Amanda I have worked at Sunrise for several years and watched the community grow into a brilliant place to work and also a very welcoming and caring home for all our residents to live. The team at Mobberley are all very dedicated and committed to supplying the very best care and it is always a pleasure to work alongside all of them. I am extremely passionate about our mission to champion quality of life for all seniors. Our resident-centred approach delivers high quality care built around ours resident needs. I am proud to lead in our Principles of Service. I am passionate about my role and I don't think there is anything more rewarding than a whisper saying thank you and a smile. I can honestly say I have enjoyed every minute working at Sunrise and look forward to many more years here.

Karen Smyth, Reminiscence Coordinator

Karen

I have worked in the care sector for over 21 years and worked for Sunrise for several years. I am passionate about
making a positive difference to our residents' lives, by focusing on what they are still able to do and helping them
remain as independent as they can for as long as they possibly can.

Laura Jones, Activities and Volunteers Co-ordinator

I have been with Sunrise for nearly 4 years, having started as a care assistant. It means a lot to me that we can provide our residents with meaningful activities that bring enjoyment, stimulation and fulfilment whilst enabling them to continue to live with a purpose every day. We provide a full and varied programme which incorporates activities for the mind, body and soul. It's so rewarding to see people enjoying themselves. Making this happen is what my job is all about.

Susan Pickering, Assisted Living Co-ordinator

Susan

I have been working at Sunrise Mobberley since January 2009, starting as a care assistant and progressing in my
new role as assisted living co-ordinator. I am truly passionate about my role and believe in what we do. We all feel
like we're part of one big family, focusing on heartfelt care and a genuine passion to make a difference to our
resident's lives. I feel proud and privileged to be able to work in such a lovely environment and to be part of a
dedicated team.

John Harrison, Director of Community Relations

I am the first point of contact for seniors and families enquiring about their care options. I am proud to invite people to a tour of our community and make sure they leave with all the relevant information, having experienced Sunrise in action.

The most rewarding part of my role is supporting families and seniors and being able to guide and counsel them during what can be a very emotional journey.

I feel very privileged and honoured to be part of this experience and to help in the process of making the decision to join our community. Seeing new residents flourish and make new friends is the most rewarding element of my role.

Tristan Perrin, Director of Community Relations

Tristan

I have worked for Sunrise Senior Living now since 2011 and I absolutely love my job. My role is to assist our seniors and their families to find solutions to their care needs. I give support to new residents and their families at this often difficult time in their lives when they are considering moving into a care environment.

I receive so much job satisfaction to see our seniors who have previously been struggling suddenly regain much more independence and dignity when they join us here at Sunrise Of Mobberley.
