Sunrise of Elstree hosts hit BBC show 'The Voice' - 29th March 2014

Sophie May, one of the stars of the hit BBC TV talent show 'The Voice' made a guest appearance at Sunrise of Elstree as part of her bid to win a place in the series final. You can see the show here. Sophie May's performance at Sunrise is featured from 57mins 57secs.

The Wakefield-born singer performed a version of 'Royals' by Lorde for residents. Sponsored by show host and superstar Will.I.Am, Sophie May's performance on the night sadly didn't get her through to the final. But, as one of the residents said: "She's welcome back here anytime."

Top Award for Elstree's Emma

Sunrise of Elstree's Assisted Living Co-ordinator, Emma Franklin, has been named Team Leader of the Year by Hertfordshire Care Providers Association. The prestigious award was given after a tough selection process that included an unannounced visit and nerve-wracking 45-minute interview.
