Skilled Highly Trained Carers and Nurses

In addition to providing a home for older people that is safe and secure, we invest heavily in making sure our staff are trained to the highest standards.

  • Every new team member undergoes more than 60 hours of training in their first 30 days
  • Managers receive an extra 72 hours of training
  • We continue to invest in learning and development. Since 2010, in the UK alone, more than £1 million has been invested in keeping staff skills up to date
  • Every year, more than 200,000 hours of training is undertaken by Sunrise team members in the UK

Safety is a Priority

Our culture encourages teamwork. Every Sunrise care home team member is directly involved in monitoring the safety of our residents. In addition, we use systems and procedures which are designed to support our commitment to safety.

  • A computerised medication management system that significantly reduces the risk of medication errors
  • Call systems in both bathrooms and bedrooms, as well as mobile pendants to call for immediate help
  • Key coded door systems
  • Furniture with rounded edges and flame-retardant, hygienic fabrics
  • Mid-point and end-of-corridor seating, providing handy rest stops and conversation areas
  • Innovative chair rails along corridors that provide support and guidance for residents
