Sunrise of Beaconsfield Resident Celebrates 105 Years

Back

Thelma Rose, resident at Sunrise of Beaconsfield has been busy celebrating her 105th birthday, with a little help from her family, residents and the whole Sunrise Team. Before moving to Sunrise of Beaconsfield in 2012, Thelma travelled to all areas of the globe, living in Paris, Switzerland and America.

To celebrate her milestone birthday, the centenarian was joined by friends and family for a party in the private dining room at the community, which was specially decorated for the occasion with beautiful flowers, balloons and streamers. A birthday cake was presented to Thelma, alongside a birthday tea, courtesy of the talented dining team.

Prior to joining Sunrise of Beaconsfield, Thelma had worked in fashion. She loves to be creative, and during her time at the community Thelma has very much enjoyed painting and drawing, as well as playing scrabble.

As a big fan of birthdays, Thelma was delighted to receive her very own birthday card from the Queen.

Shila Odedra-Silvera, Director of Community Relations at Sunrise of Beaconsfield, said:

“We were absolutely honoured to host such a lovely party for Thelma to celebrate her incredible 105th birthday milestone. We were delighted that so many people were able to join together with us to celebrate her special day, and it was brilliant to see how pleased she was to see everyone.”
